ABOUT US

What is Beta Alpha Psi?

Beta Alpha Psi (ΒΑΨ) is an international honor society that recognizes and promotes academic and professional excellence in accounting, finance, and information systems students. It encourages the study and practice of these fields, while also fostering opportunities for self-development, service, and networking among members and professionals. The organization emphasizes ethical, social, and public responsibility and seeks to enhance technical and professional skills that complement university education. Chapters achieve these goals through various activities, with financial support from public and private sponsors.

Why be a "Xi"?

Syracuse University's chapter of Beta Alpha Psi was founded in 1929 as the 14th chapter of the organization and is now one of the fastest-growing chapters globally. What sets us apart?

Our chapter is built on a foundation of strong brotherhood, community service, and exceptional results—and it shows. We are proud to announce our newest class of 70+ candidates and our consistent track record of 100% job placement after graduation. This is due to our direct connections with the Big Four and local firms, which give BAP members a competitive edge in the recruiting process. Additionally, members are always giving back. Whether this be through tutoring fellow students, or volunteering at the local zoo for Earth Day, we recognize the opportunities granted to us and will never take them for granted. Finally, close-knit bonds across the organization make a once unfamiliar group, a family. When you're a brother of Xi, you're a brother for life. Join us!
